A quick answer to the question: can you use a nutribullet as a food processor.  Our answer is a nutribullet blender does not have the same functionality as a food processor.

The nutribullet milling blade or flat blade does allow you to grind nuts, seeds, grains, and even coffee beans.  Additionally, with a proper pulsing technique, the blade can be used as a chopping blade.

However, at the end of the day, a nutribullet is a blender, it does not come with food processor attachments like those seen in blender food processor appliances.

Food Processor vs Nutribullet

A nutribullet is a blender so it has more power and it’s meant to blend food to a pulp.  For example when you are making smoothies.

It has enough power to turn most fruits and vegetables into a smooth liquid format once you add some type of liquid.

Therefore you will find that your nutribullet is better at liquifying and pureeing foods.

It is hard to get the pulse right to get the effects of slicing, chopping, and dicing effects that you would get with a traditional food processor.

You will find that some other brands come with a special blade that allows a blender to mimic the features of a food processor.  Nutribullet does not have this option.

The closest it comes is with the milling blade which allows you to grind nuts, seeds, and grains.

Nutribullet models do not come with a specific blade or container that would facilitate the slicing, dicing, or chopping effect of a food processor.

What is the Difference Between a Food Processor and a Blender?

There are a few distinct differences between a food processor and a blender:

  • A blender is meant to liquefy or puree food.
  • A food processor is meant to slice, dice or chop food.
  • You will usually find that a food processor has a larger container which allows you to get the desired effect of slicing, dicing or chopping food.
  • Blenders are usually more powerful and faster than a food processor.
  • The blades on a food processor are usually sharper.
  • Most modern blenders are capable of basic food processing.
